Adyntel for Shopify — Privacy Policy

Introduction

Adyntel ("we", "our", "us") provides a Shopify application that helps merchants monitor competitors' publicly available advertising. This policy explains what data the app collects, how we use it and what rights you have. It supplements the general Adyntel privacy policy at https://adyntel.com/privacy.

Data we collect

From Shopify (when you install the app)

Shop domain (your myshopify.com address), used to identify your account.
An app access token, used only to manage your subscription through Shopify's Billing API. The app requests no Admin API access scopes and cannot read your products, orders or customers.

From you (while using the app)

Competitor domains you choose to track, and the scan settings for each.
Alert preferences: whether email alerts are on, the email address you enter and the alert frequency.

From public sources

Ad data collected from the Google Ads Transparency Center and the Meta Ad Library for the domains you track: ad creatives (images, video links, text), advertiser names and pages, landing page links, and first/last seen dates. This information is published by the platforms and is accessible to anyone.

Data we do not collect

Your customers' personal data.
Your product, order, inventory or payment data.
Payment card details (billing is handled entirely by Shopify).
Analytics or advertising cookies. The app sets no cookies of its own; authentication uses Shopify session tokens.

How we use data

To provide the service: scan ad libraries for the competitors you track and show the results in your Shopify admin.
To send the alerts you opt into (email and in-app).
To enforce the limits of your subscription plan.
To keep the service reliable and secure (server logs are retained for a short period for debugging).

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Third-party processors

Shopify — app hosting inside the admin, authentication and billing.
Adyntel API (api.adyntel.com, operated by us) — retrieves public ad data.
Railway — application hosting.
Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting (encrypted at rest and in transit).
Resend — delivery of alert emails to the address you provide.

Data retention

While installed: shop record, tracked domains, alert settings, notifications and ad data are kept so the app can work.
After uninstall: scanning stops immediately and your shop is marked as uninstalled. When Shopify sends the shop/redact request (48 hours after uninstall) all data belonging to your shop is permanently deleted. You can also request earlier deletion by email.
Compliance webhooks: we implement Shopify's mandatory customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks. Because the app stores no customer data, customer requests are acknowledged without further action.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Most of it is visible and editable in the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.
Shopify webhook signatures and session tokens are verified on every request.
Access to production systems is restricted to Adyntel staff who need it.

Children

The app is a business tool for Shopify merchants and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced inside the app and on this page, with the "last updated" date above.
